A Block Level Disaster Preparedness Program was organized, supported by OSDMA, Bhubaneswar. The program brought together the Block Chairman, Nuagaon, Block Development Officer, Nuagaon, Gram Panchayat Development Officer, Nuagaon, line department representatives, and all Sarpanchs. The key objective of the program was to develop and strengthen the Block Level Disaster Management Plan (BDMP), Gram Panchayat Disaster Management Plan (GPDMP), and Village Disaster Management Plan (VDMP). The training covered essential topics such as rescue operations for people and animals during disasters like cyclones, earthquakes, and snake bites, and outlined the roles and responsibilities of BDMP, GPDMP, and VDMP in disaster management.
