A Disaster Management Program was organized, supported by OSDMA, Bhubaneswar and the District Administration, Nayagarh, across 7 Multi-Purpose Flood Shelters located in Badapandusara, Kantilo, Natugaon, Madhapur, Karabara, Hanumanataprasad, and Kaliapalli under Nayagarh District. The program focused on managing the shelters and included comprehensive training sessions on Disaster Management (DM), Community-Based Disaster Preparedness (CBDP), Shelter Management, and Documentation for Management Committee members (4 days). Additionally, training for the DM, CBDP Task Force (5 days) and First Aid Task Force members (2 days) was conducted to strengthen the community’s capacity for disaster response.
