A program was organized to establish Village Disaster Management Committees (VDMCs) in 27 villages of Nuagaon block and 13 villages of Daspalla block under Nayagarh District. Supported by OSDMA, BBSR and District Administration, Nayagarh, this initiative aimed to create a disaster management framework at the village level. Each village formed a VDMC along with 9 task force members responsible for managing and addressing any disaster-related issues. These committees will work closely with district authorities to ensure effective communication and response during emergencies.
