A Skill Development Day program was conducted on 18th January 2024 at the training hall of the project office in Nuagaon, with the support of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Government of India. The event was attended by 30 youth, focusing on empowering them with skills for millet processing and economic generation. The program highlighted the value addition of millet through practical demonstrations, including the preparation of Ragi powder, Ragi chatua, Ragi laddu, Ragi mixture, Ragi mudki, Ragi cake, and Ragi soup. Discussions were held on the nutritional benefits of millet and the potential for self-employment by setting up small-scale units near homes and villages. The session also provided insights into government schemes that can assist in establishing new units, enabling youth to explore sustainable livelihoods while contributing to local economic growth.
